Review policy

Every confirmed review is published, positive or negative. We never remove a review because a company pays us.

How a review gets published

  1. You submit it. Pick an app or certification, give 1 to 5 stars, and tell other trainers what you found. We ask whether you are a trainer or coach and how many years you have coached. A certification name and number are optional; the number is never shown and is used only if we verify you as a trainer.
  2. You confirm your email. We send a link that works once, for 48 hours. Your email address is never shown or shared; we keep only a one-way hash of it.
  3. We check it for three things only. A confirmed review is published unless it is spam, abusive or off-topic. Those are the only reasons a review can be rejected.
  4. It goes live, good or bad. Star ratings and opinions are never edited. Positive and negative reviews are treated the same way.

The only rejection reasons

What money can't change

Some links on Trainer App Stack may earn us a commission (see our disclosure). That has no effect on reviews: we never remove, hide, reorder or weight a review because a company pays us or because of our commission arrangements. Reviews are shown newest first, and you can sort them lowest-rated first.

The FTC rule on reviews

In the U.S., the FTC's Trade Regulation Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465), effective October 21, 2024, bans fake reviews, buying reviews conditioned on their sentiment, and certain review suppression practices. Our process is built so that every genuine, confirmed review is shown. Read the rule: 16 CFR Part 465 (eCFR) ↗ · FTC final rule, Federal Register, Aug 22, 2024 ↗
